Arthropods on World Coins - San Marino - 2 Lire - 1974

This is a good example of why world coin collecting is so much fun. First, one can pick an obscure topic such as Arthropods and find many great coins from all around the world. Secondly, it can be very cheap. For instance, I scoured the internet for well over a year to find this one. I saw it pop up here and there, but dealers were asking much more than the Standard Catalog of World Coins suggested that it should cost ($2.00). In the end, one turned up on ebay. It pays to be patient sometimes.
